Meeting with Chris Evans MP and Tonia Antoniazzi MP

Yesterday the campaign was delighted to meet with Tonia Antoniazzi MP and Chris Evans MP to introduce them to the campaign.

We discussed why it is so important that all suitable brain tumour samples are fresh-frozen after surgery, and that patients are properly informed and supported to make decisions about what happens to their tissue. These relatively simple changes could make a real difference to patients’ access to clinical trials and emerging treatments.

By improving consent processes and increasing freezer capacity across the NHS, Owain’s Law aims to help today’s patients access more treatment options, while also supporting vital research for the future.

We’re grateful to both MPs for taking the time to meet with us and learn more about the campaign, and we look forward to continuing the conversation.
